  • There is ample street parking around the house. I also allow to park a bicycle in the garage.
  • To call Roslindale a public transportation heaven would be an understatement. There are great connections between the house and the Longwood Medical Area Boston College the VA Hospitals in Jamaica Plain and West Roxbury Northeastern University Downtown and the Seaport District. Please be advised that many employers in the area are maintaining shuttle services such as the LMA Shuttle which make busses and subways the most convenient way of travel in the city.

Property Description

When we (my girlfriend and I) bought the house four years ago, we immediately fell in love with Roslindale. It is a vibrant community where one quickly gets the feeling that people know each other. There is a farmer's market, we have porch fests, bars with music or game nights in the evening, the beautiful Arboretum in walking (or running) distance and convenient (grocery) shopping around. But you can also leave all that behind in a quiet house or very private garden with a terrace and grill.
This is a 3 family house. We are renting out the other two apartments on a permanent basis.

We invite people from all walks of life for the room described in the listing. Being immigrants ourselves, we have welcomed guests from all continents in this apartment.

Beautiful town with easy commute into boston

Submitted: 6/7/2024 12:00:00 AM Thomas was a wonderful welcoming host, and the room is great, equipped with a desk workspace and beautiful furniture. I was commuting into south station every'day, and it only takes half an hour without a car- just walking to the train station (10min) and talking the purple line into south station (20min). It's even quicker if you want to go to back bay. (and most days they don't even check for your train tickets ;) I would highly reccommend this stay as it is affordable, there is easy access to the downtown and many other places without a car, and the home itself is great - a huge kitchen and lot's of things to do in town (cute cafes, lots of activities hosted by the town and local businesses). You can easily stay here without a car for months, as the town is very walkable and there's a grocery store and pharmacy nearby. The neighborhood is also very safe. All in all a great stay.

Pleasant stay

Submitted: 6/7/2024 12:00:00 AM Amazing location and very spacious kitchen! Roslindale is gorgeous and very accessible to a cafe, bakery, library, market, restaurants, and the commuter rail/buses. The neighborhood is really safe, even at night. The kitchen is also v nice and great for large dinners. The room is the perfect size with a lot of storage, space, and natural light. Thomas is a very accommodating and friendly host who sparks good convo.
